It’s the morning after the night before, and I hope you are all feeling proud of yourselves.
What a fabulous show you produced. The nerves seemed to melt away, and there was some real, exciting music being made. I had every singer’s full attention, which makes my job so rewarding. I couldn’t, of course, see the audience, but I could hear the oohs, the wows, and other expressions of amazement. They all wanted you to do your best — and they got it.
I couldn’t pinpoint a highlight. The whole show flew by, from one high point to another. Very early this morning we watched the Strictly final, before the spoilers surfaced, and there was a lot of talk of the “journey”. When I look back at the first rehearsal and think about the end product, that’s exactly what we have all been on. I fully appreciate the work needed between rehearsals to achieve those results, and I’m also extremely grateful for the trust you put in me.
We have started something very special. I’ve got big plans for where we’re heading, and after last night, I know we can do it.
Have a lovely Christmas. It won’t be long before we start again with our next show.
Much love and gratitude,
Gary
